Ministry of Culture
Recognised as a Meritorious Person for Urpichallay’s contribution to the identity of Áncash.
We are a Peruvian non-profit organisation that connects community education, Andean culture and biodiversity through long-term relationships with communities, schools and institutions.

Urpichallay learns from people who know the land, seeds, medicinal plants, water and rural crafts. When this knowledge moves from one generation to another, communities preserve memory and strengthen their capacity to respond to present challenges.
We bring community knowledge into dialogue with schools, public institutions, universities and civil-society organisations.

We begin with community priorities, local calendars and the people who hold knowledge.
Activities are designed with schools, families, young people and institutional allies.
We document participation, results and stories so learning can circulate responsibly.
